New Public Computer Centers Across Colorado

Exciting news from the desk of United States Senator Michael Bennet!
“Libraries provide an invaluable service to our nation…I have seen firsthand the crucial role libraries play in promoting early literacy and learning. They are also important resources for adults – providing résumé development programs, job bank websites, and family literacy classes.”
“Today, I am happy to pass along some exciting news from the Colorado State Library. It has recently launched public computer centers in 83 communities around the state. These public computer centers can provide you with access to computer training and assistance with education, job searches, health information and other issues. “
“… As we work together to close the digital divide” For more information about these public computer centers and to find one near your area follow this link: www.cde.state.co.us/cdelib/BTOP/

Home cooked meal? —No time?—try Boston Market!

Every one enjoys a home cooked meal, and with our fast-paced schedules, even our BlackBerry’s cannot come up with something as nutritious and tasty as Boston Market. It is one of my favorite places to stop for a wholesome meal on short notice. You can order online and they cater too. Try Boston Market at Iliff and Abilene Street, Aurora CO. Home cooking at reasonable prices… clean and bright, friendly service. www.FarrellSales.com

Five Halloween tips for the Homeowner

This weekend is Halloween, time for those little ghosts, goblins, cowboys, and princesses to appear at your door. Here are some helpful tips to make your yard safe for trick or treaters.
1) Make sure your yard is clear of things that could possibly cause a child to trip such as garden hoses, flower pots, lawn ornaments etc.
2) Keep your pets indoors or in a secure backyard, so they are not frightening small children or in harms way of cars.
3) Keep your walkways well lit for your safety as well as your little guests.
4) Healthy food alternatives are things like fruit roll ups, cheese or peanut butter cracker packs, boxes of raisins, or microwave popcorn packs.
5) Don’t want trick or treaters coming to your door? The best thing is to leave your porch lights off.
